Because of the characteristics of the vacuum circuit breaker, there are also some disadvantages:

(1) it is easy to generate overvoltage, which is mainly the interception overvoltage and high frequency multiple reburning overvoltage when breaking off small current. Therefore, adopting vacuum circuit breaker should take effective measures to restrain overvoltage.

(2) the vacuum degree of the arc extinguishing chamber can not be checked at any time in operation, and the vacuum degree is checked only through special pressure test or special instrument. When vacuum degree is reduced or can not be used, only vacuum interrupters should be replaced.
